We are excited to share an updated schedule for a very special Tribute Weekend honoring Alan Sugarman.
This weekend will bring together colleagues, friends, and family to celebrate Alan as an educator, supervisor, clinician, scholar, and leader, and to reflect on the profound and lasting impact of his mentorship and work.
Cocktail Reception at the Sugarman Home – complimentary (all Sugarman friends, family, and SDPC members and their families are welcome)
Alan and Julie Sugarman have graciously opened their home to host an intimate gathering to begin the weekend. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and celebrate together in a warm, personal setting.
Saturday, May 16 | 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Dr. Alan Sugarman’s Presentation at SDPC – complimentary (all are welcome at no charge)
Join us for a meaningful morning dedicated to Dr. Sugarman’s remarkable career and enduring contributions to psychoanalysis, particularly in child and adolescent work. The program will open with Dr. Jesus Gonzalez offering a special foreword reflecting on Alan’s life and scholarly contributions, followed by Dr. Sugarman presenting his most recent paper.
In recognition of his extraordinary generosity and lasting contributions, this event will be offered with complimentary admission, honoring all he has done to ensure that SDPC remains a place of psychoanalytic exploration for generations to come.
